School deposits
The school savings banks for almost six decades cultivate the spirit of saving in the new generations from very early, thus strengthening the self-confidence of children and upgrading their choices in their after-school career.
This is the first contact of children with the Co-Operative Movement. The school savings banks functioned in the municipal schools in 1950 and immediately after the independence of Cyprus, the institution was extended in Secondary Education. The school savings banks give the opportunity in the new generation to approach for the first time the Co-operative insitution but also the saving, that constitutes basic economic size.

Savings Accounts Characteristics

• Undertaking or deposit of money per all moment without any warning
• The interest is characteristically calculated in each rest.
• Issue of debit card, which is connected with your account that can be used in Cyprus and abroad for purchases and for withdrawals of money from ATM’s.
• Access in the service of Automatic Payment of Doses (Standing Order) and Automatic settlement of Accounts of common utility (Direct Debits).

Deposits with Notice Characteristics

Deposit with predetermined expiry (3, 6 months or 1 year), at the duration of which any withdrawal or deposit is not allowed. The renewal is made after customer’s command. The interest-rate of the deposit is constant and is determined by the duration and its sum. In the event of changes of the basic interest-rate, the interest-rate of the deposit with notice is not affected. The interest is paid with the expiry of the deposit. Here we offer the highest interest rate compared to the other types of deposit accounts. Immediate granting of loan up to 80%, with guarantee your deposit of notice. In the event, that the customer wishes to withdraw part or entire the deposit before its expiry, there is an obligation, which corresponds to the expenses of the bank.

Current Account Characteristics

• Issue of cheque-book and monthly account statement remitment. The interest rate is calculated on each balance. Withdrawal and deposit of money without any warning.
• Issue of debit card, which is connected with your account that can be used in Cyprus and abroad for purchases and for withdrawals of money from ATM’s.
• Points in the “COOP Rewards” plan, which are exchanged with cash.
• Access in the service of Automatic Payment of Doses (Standing Order) and Automatic settlement of Accounts of common utility (CYTA,... etc - Direct Debits).
• Possibility of automatic transfers between accounts (Auto Transfer).
• Possibility of automatic transfer in account of other bank of/SPE Bank/Savings Bank.
• Possibility of statement of automatic credit of your wage in your account.
• Guaranteed overdraft limit after the completion of relative application and its approval. Each overdraft limit will be ensured with mortgage of fortune or with guarantors or with the commitment of deposits.
